An Insider’s Guide to College Readiness Class:
July 9, 16, 23, 30, August 6 and 13
Going off to college can be an intimidating thought. How do I choose a major? How will I study? What resources can I use at my school? And how the heck am I going to pay for everything? All of these questions, and more, will be answered in our College Readiness class this summer. This class is for soon-to-be college freshmen looking for a little guidance on getting started in college.
Demystifying the College Application Essay:
August 6, 13, 20, and 27
Like it or not the Application Essay is part of the College Application process. This class will help to demystify the College App Essay through investigation of the prompts, brainstorming, and workshop. Students will also receive one-on-one feedback from their instructor.
Intro to Chemistry:
July 29, 31, August 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26 and 28
Our Introduction to Chemistry class is for high school students eager to prepare for next year’s chemistry class. Students will investigate and discuss the topics and concepts that their upcoming chemistry class will cover. We will also offer an Introduction to AP Chemistry class. Including Labs held at the UW!

Reader’s Circle: A Summer Book Club for Middle and High School Students:

Ever have the feeling that you “don’t get” what you’re reading? Feel like you have trouble seeing the deeper meaning in a text? In this class students will practice honing their skills by reading short stories and a short novel. Best suited for students in late middle school early high school.
Heading to 6th Grade – Basic Math Skills:
Tuesdays/Thursdays 4 – 5 PM

Help your soon to be 5th or 6th grader catch up, keep up, and get ahead on basic math skills! This class will help stave off summer brain drain, fill in gaps, and prepare students for middle school. Students will have fun improving their basic math skills!

Want to keep your math skills up or prepare for next year? This summer we’ll hold math classes for all levels of high school math! Algebra, Geometry, Pre-calculus, and Calculus classes will be held twice a week this summer to keep your math skills in tact!

A Passion for Words:
Wednesdays, 5-7 PM

Whether students love or hate writing they will enjoy our summer writing course. The focus of this course will be on building comfort and confidence with various creative genres, including: fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction. This course is ideal for students who want to improve their writing skills, as well as those who often struggle in Language Arts classes.
