TEST PREP

University Tutoring provides highly strategic test prep services in Seattle in one-to-one and small group settings. Our approach for all tests combines content review and strategic training so that students understand what is being tested upon and how. Our goal is to create a test prep program that is tailored to individual needs and builds on test-taking strengths.

In addition to the tests listed on the left, we also offer test prep services in Seattle for the following tests: ACT Explore, WA Comprehensive Testing Program (MSP, HSPE) formerly the WASL, PSAT (Pre-SAT), PLAN (Pre-ACT), AP Tests, PRAXIS I, PRAXIS II, PCAT, WEST E, WEST B, Washington State Home Care Aide Exam, and more. SAT

University Tutoring has over thirty years of experience offering SAT prep in Seattle in one-to-one and small group classes. We can help students prepare for any of the SAT tests from October to June each year.

Typically, students take the SAT in the spring semester of Junior year, but schedules and individual circumstances might suggest that the student should take the test fall of Junior year, in January, or fall of Senior year.

We can help you decide when to take the test, whether the SAT or ACT is better suited to the student, and whether a one-to-one or group program would be more effective.

Through a comprehensive intake process, we design the most efficient route to being prepared for the test, covering the test content and strategies that are most important for each student.

ACT

University Tutoring has over thirty years of experience offering ACT prep in Seattle in one-to-one and small group classes. We can help students prepare for any of the ACT tests from September to June each year.

Typically, students take the ACT in the spring semester of Junior year, but schedules and individual circumstances might suggest that the student should take the test fall of Junior year, in February, or fall of Senior year.

We can help you decide when to take the test, whether the ACT or SAT is better suited to the student, and whether a one-to-one or group program would be more effective.

SAT II SUBJECT TESTS

The SAT II Subject Tests are one-hour long tests in an individual subject such as Literature, Chemistry, or US History. Students can take up to three Subject Tests per test date and these tests are sometimes, but not always, required for college admissions.

University Tutoring has over thirty years of experience offering SAT II Subject Test prep in Seattle. We can help students prepare for any of the SAT II tests from October to June each year. Our tutoring for the SAT II Subject Tests is all one-to-one and individualized.

Typically, students take the SAT Subject Tests in the spring semester of Junior year or fall semester of Senior year, but schedules and individual circumstances might suggest that the student should take the tests earlier. We can help you decide when to take the tests, which subjects are appropriate, and the schedule that would be best suited to your situation.

GRE / GMAT

University Tutoring has over thirty years of experience offering one-to-one GRE and GMAT prep in Seattle.

Through a comprehensive intake process, we design the most efficient route to being prepared for these graduate admission tests, covering the test content and strategies that are most important for each student. We address specific concerns with computerized testing, typing timed essays, and reaching score goals for admissions requirements.

Whether you are a recent graduate or are applying to a graduate program after several years, we can help you hone your skills in math, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and essay writing, as well as the test-taking strategies necessary for success on these timed standardized tests.

ISEE / SSAT

University Tutoring offers one-to-one test prep for the Independent Schools Entrance Examination and the Secondary Schools Admissions Test. Whether students are seeking admission to a private school or boarding school, we can help with this important admissions requirement.

We have specialists for the Lower, Middle, and Upper Level ISEE tests and the Lower and Upper Level SSAT tests that can help students improve skills in math, reading, vocabulary, and timed essay writing.

GED

University Tutoring supports students preparing for their Graduate Equivalency Diploma.

Through our intake process, we can help you develop a study plan and a schedule that will work for you. We can help you to master the content in each of the five subject areas (Writing, Social Studies, Science, Reading, and Math) as well as the test-taking strategies necessary for success on the GED.
